About My Modern Cookery

Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for visiting My Modern Cookery! My name is Paige and I am a food lover living in Louisville, Ky. I have a huge passion for cooking food with wholesome, healthy, and local ingredients and wanted an outlet to share my recipes. I’ve been posting them here since April 2014 and feel so blessed to be able to call this my job!

There aren’t many foods that I shy away from on My Modern Cookery, and one of my favorite challenges is putting a modern twist on classic recipes that everyone knows and loves. On MMC, you’ll find everything from S’mores Angel Food Cake to Green Goddess Chicken Sliders to Strawberry Rhubarb Margaritas and everything in between. Other than cooking, photography, and recipe development, I love to zone out with a few episodes of FRIENDS, take a hot bath, and indulge in my guilty pleasure, YouTube beauty videos. I hate to admit it, but I do enjoy my 4x a week visits to my local YMCA with my CEM (Chief Executive Motivator), my husband, Matt.

You’ll also usually find us hitting up our favorite coffee shop (sometimes twice a day) and taking our dog, Margot, to the park while our introverted cat, Roxie, mopes at home. Matt and I are big family people, and we can’t go long without visiting our parents and siblings, whom we’re very close to.

*Mushy Alert* Speaking of Matt, he is the unsung hero of this blog. More often than not, he is helping me take and edit photos, cleaning up after a shoot, and responding to emails that my scatterbrain forgets about. You’ll see his influence on just about every page of my little internet space as well, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The only thing he doesn’t dabble in is recipe development and cooking because well, he has other talents to lend himself to 😉 Let’s all give a collective “Thanks, Matt!” for helping My Modern Cookery run like a well-oiled machine.
