Boozy Limonata Peach-Basil Popsicles

I have to tell you, it’s been a while since a new alcoholic beverage has gotten me this excited. It seems like for the longest time, the beverage industry has churned out similar product after similar product, with no uniqueness about them whatsoever. That’s why I was genuinely SO excited to learn more about Bravazzi Hard Italian Soda.

They’re the first Hard Italian Soda to come on the market, and they have three incredible flavors: Grapefruit, Limonata, and Blood Orange. Matt and I are both completely obsessed with them. Although, I can’t seem to decide which is my favorite flavor. He loves the Blood Orange, but I change my mind every time I drink one. I am dying for pool season to get here because I can totally envision myself floating around with a refreshing Bravazzi in my hand.

You all know that I really like for my food and drinks to be all-natural and free of any high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, or colors, and that’s exactly the Bravazzi way. You also won’t find any malt or gluten in your Bravazzi Hard Italian Soda. So just about anyone 21 and over can enjoy that lightly sweet effervescent flavor. It has 4.2% ABV and it’s brewed in Memphis, Tennessee with only six ingredients. Can you believe that?!

Since the whole “Pop-tail” thing is a major trend at the moment, I thought I would take the Limonata flavor and use it to make a Boozy Limonata Peach-Basil Popsicle. Since Bravazzi is a Hard Italian Soda, I wanted to use some of the flavors that you would find in an Italian street market, hence the peach and basil. I absolutely LOVE how these turned out. I’m definitely going to be making them all summer long.

Pro tip: If you make the popsicles, pop one in a glass and pour over additional chilled Bravazzi. The popsicle will slowly melt and keep your drink cold while adding a unique flavor. I highly highly recommend you try these out if they’re available in your area. Bravazzi is now available in Louisville, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee with rollouts planned for additional markets later this year. Individual flavors are available in six-packs for a suggested retail price of $9.99. For more information and where to buy, visit www.bravazzi.com.

Serves: 8 popsicles
Ingredients
 • For the Basil-Simple Syrup
 • 1/4 cup water
 • 1/4 cup sugar
 • 5-10 basil leaves
 • For the Popsicles
 • 2 cups fresh or defrosted peaches
 • ¼ cup basil simple syrup
 • 1 cup Bravazzi Limonata Hard Italian Soda
Instructions
 1. To make the simple syrup, combine all of the ingredients over medium-high heat in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the simple syrup to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, the simple syrup can be used.
 2. To make the popsicles, add the peaches, ¼ cup of the simple syrup and the Bravazzi Limonata Hard Italian Soda to your blender. Blend on high until smooth. Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds and insert your popsicle sticks. Transfer the molds to your freezer and allow them to freeze for about 6 hours.
 3. Remove the popsicles from their molds before serving. You can run a little warm water over the molds to help loosen the popsicles from their molds if needed.
