Easy Easter Brunch Tips with Bourbon Brown Sugar Bacon

  • 1 pound thick cut bacon
  • ¼ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • freshly cracked black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. Combine the bourbon and brown sugar in a small bowl, whisk to combine.
  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Place the bacon on top of the wire rack and brush the top of the bacon with the bourbon-brown sugar mixture. Crack a few twists of black pepper over the top.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, flip the bacon, brush with the remainder of the bourbon-brown sugar mixture and bake for another 15 minutes or until it reaches the desired level of crispiness. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then serve immediately.
