We’re just a few days out from Easter and I couldn’t be more excited! Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays and this year is no different. While the menu of each family varies, there is usually one constant….deviled eggs. While some deviled eggs are better than others, chances are there going to have the same ingredients; relish, mustard, and mayonnaise. Now, I’m not hating on the traditional deviled egg by any means, but sometimes it’s fun to try something different! If you’re looking to switch it up for your Easter dinner, then boy do I have a recipe for you! My Smoked Salmon Everything Deviled Eggs are a unique and unexpected treat that your family will be EGGspecially EGGcited for! Hope you enjoy!
- 12 eggs, boiled
- 1 tbsp softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 5 oz of smoked salmon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion flakes
- 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- Slice boiled eggs length-wise and scoop out the yolks into a medium sized bowl. Using two forks, flake apart the smoked salmon and add it to the yolks, along with the cream cheese, mayo, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion flakes. Mix well. Place the mixture in a piping bag, or ziplock bag with a small piece of the corner cut off. Gently pipe the filling into the whites. You can also just spoon the filling in the whites if you wish, piping just makes a prettier presentation! In a small dish, mix together the poppy seeds and sesame seeds and sprinkle on top of your prepared eggs. Serve cold.
