The 5-Ingredient Vegetarian Cookbook

Whether you’re a vegetarian or a constant carnivore, my new book, The 5-Ingredient Vegetarian Cookbook is perfect for busy weeknights and beyond!

Surprise! I wrote a cookbook! The 5-Ingredient Vegetarian Cookbook has been in the making for a while now and I’m so excited to finally share it with you!

Simple vegetarian meals can be quick, budget-friendly, and full of flavor. My new vegetarian cookbook shows you how, with tasty recipes that require just 5 ingredients and only a few steps to prepare. For full-time vegetarians or home cooks who just want to add more meatless meals to their rotation, this vegetarian cookbook helps build a repertoire of easy plant-focused recipes the whole family will love.

  • Fresh, flavor-forward recipes―Find a wide range of dishes to try, from classics like Cheesy Baked Ravioli to new favorites like Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Tahini, Pomegranate, and Feta.
  • Minimal ingredients―Every recipe uses no more than 5 ingredients (excluding salt, pepper, and oil), and features whole foods that are affordable and easy to find.
  • No experience required―These recipes include clear instructions that help ensure success and speed, so they’re suitable for people who’ve never done much home cooking or vegetarian eating before as well as those who are more experienced.

You might be wondering why I wrote a vegetarian cookbook when I am not a vegetarian myself. One of my biggest fears with releasing this book was that I’d get pushback for not eating exclusively plant-based. Which is totally fair! My hope for this book is twofold. I hope that I can create some inspiration for vegetarians who either may be in a rut or need additional recipes that are quick and to the point. I also hope to show meat-eaters that you can have a delicious meal full of flavor without having to incorporate meat.

I think that I have a unique view of vegetarian cooking because I eat meat. Since I do have those carnivorous tendencies, I need my meals to be hearty and well-rounded without feeling like something is lacking. The recipes in this book are just that!

Here are some questions that I got from social media about the book

What’s your favorite recipe from the book?

Roasted Sweet Potoes with Tahini, Pomegranates, and Feta are one of my current faves, as well as the Lava Cakes! I love the whole pasta chapter as well and all of the sauces are so handy to have around.

What percentage of recipes are vegan?

About 20% of the recipes are vegan on their own, and if they’re not, there’s usually a simple suggested swap to make it so!

Each recipe has labels at the top that indicated whether the recipe is Vegan, Under 30 Minutes, One-Pot, Freezer-Friendly, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, or Dairy-Free.

What was your favorite part of the book writing process?

While I love to create and write recipes, I LOVE to write in general. The whole first chapter of the book is a guide on navigating the recipes, the staples you should keep in your kitchen, WHY the book will work for you, and even essential tools you need. I had so much fun letting my personality come through the text!

The book officially hits shelves August 10th, 2021 but you can preorder now or download the Kindle Edition!
